In response to the developing COVID-19 situation, NSW has extended the current lockdown in Greater Sydney until 30 September with new rules introduced for the Georges River area.
A permit system for some travel between Greater Sydney and regional NSW will take effect from 12.01am on Saturday 21 August.
Under the updated public health order, the following people traveling from Greater Sydney to regional NSW require a permit:
Georges River residents aged between 16 and 39 are now able to book for prioritised Pfizer vaccinations with appointments commencing from today.
Eligible authorised workers in the Georges River LGA have been given prioritised access to vaccination appointments between August 16 and 22, to better protect the community.
