Road users and residents at Peakhurst are invited to provide feedback on proposed improvements for the Forest, Bonds and Boundary roads intersection.
Member for Oatley, Mark Coure, said the intersection has been recognised as a congestion hot spot in the road network and Transport for NSW has identified opportunities to improve its efficiency and safety.
“As part of the Urban Road Congestion Program, which supports upgrades to the urban road network, Transport for NSW is now asking the community to provide feedback on a number of proposed intersection improvements,” Mr Coure said.
“These include an additional right turn lane on Bonds Road into Forest Road to reduce the likelihood of right turning vehicles holding up through traffic.”
“The proposal also includes an extra right turn lane on Boundary Road into Forest Road to improve traffic flow, and upgrading the left turn on Forest Road into Bonds Road to increase visibility for all motorists passing through the intersection.”
Transport for NSW invites the community to provide feedback on the proposed improvements by 5pm Monday 19 October 2020. All feedback will be considered and the community will be updated as the proposal progresses.
Feedback can be provided online at nswroads.work/forestbondsboundaryroad, by phone on 1800 572 004 or via mail to ESC PO Box 973, Parramatta NSW 2124.
