MORE BUS SERVICES FOR ST GEORGE CUSTOMERS
Almost 250 additional weekly services will be added to timetables across Route 942 and 945 services in the Oatley electorate from the end of this month.
Member for Oatley, Mark Coure, said the new services would give customers more choice around when they travelled.
“The NSW Government is committed to delivering the best public transport network possible and the extra services on these two routes will help meet the demand from our customers,” said Mr Coure.
“We are adding 150 additional services each week on Route 942 from Lugano to Campsie. This will comprise more services during off-peak and evening periods on weekdays, as well as during the day on Saturday. In fact, these customers will benefit from a bus every 30 minutes between Lugano, Riverwood and Roselands.”
“More than 90 new weekly services will be created on Route 945 from Hurstville to Bankstown via Mortdale. There will be extra services early in the morning on weekdays and more services later in the evening throughout the week.”
“We are also improving the frequency of services on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday so that you will see a bus every 30 minutes.”
An extra 30 weekly services will also be added to Route 450 from Strathfield to Hurstville with more evening services seven days a week and more frequent buses on Saturday afternoons.
The new timetables will commence on 25 October. Customers will be able to plan their journey from 9 October via www.transportnsw.info.
